I’m about to say some things that are so not politically correct. If any of you are offended by true, realistic statements that might be construed to be sexist or racist, this might be a good time for you to stop reading today’s post. I tried for a while to avoid saying this but my wanting to won’t go away. Today’s post deals with obama (the little o in obama was not a typo) and his administration has governed this country. I haven’t seen in my lifetime a president (it hurts me to call him that) that has Shown so little regard for what the people want as he has. It has been his way or the high Way. He has a pen and a phone and he has used them. He came into office with two things that he wanted to do. He wanted to redistribute the wealth and to harp on climate change. Nothing has changed. Those two things are still his top priorities.
The wars, the economy and the many other things that are important to Amicans were not on his todo list. They have only been aggravations to him. They weren’t things he had plans to deal with. O—0Oobama (this iPad is a democrat, it didn’t want me to spell obama with a little o) was not elected because the people thought he was smart or capable of governing well, Tthey wanted to show the world how unbiased and politically correct America is by electing the first black president. It wasn’t who was, but what he was. An Asian, an Hispanic or a white person with the same qualifications would not have made it through the primaries. A black president was what the voters thought would fill the bill. I don’t know why, because I don’t know of a country in the world that has a black ruler, whose country is not in shambles. So, what has been the advantage of having a black president? It has been so politically correct. Does that mean that we have to have a first woman president, a first gay, a first American Indian, a first Eskimo, a first Border Collie and so,on? Making a statement that puts black people in a poor light is always called racist never realistic, no matter how true it is. So, most people avoid critiiczingMonthly Archives: June 2015
Drunk Razorbacks
A long time ago people turned their hogs out in the fall of the year after all the crops were harvested. They lived well in the winter off acorns from oak trees. They were razorbacks, the next thing to a feral hog. They were wild and would run at the sight of a human. My granddaddy said when you castrated a pig, you needed to be close to a tree to climb when you finished because even a little pig would get up wanting to hurt somebody. Daddy said a big heard of hogs came by an unattended whiskey still of his and they ate up all of his sour mash (corn that had been used in the whiskey making process) that they could hold. He said that there were drunk hogs everywhere.
Most were too drunk to run away. He said they were acting like drunk men, some were fighting, some passed out in the road and had to be dragged to the side. After that, they came by everyday ate some mash, but not enough to get drunk on. They were the fattest hogs in the woods when Spring came. There was one that never left. He got drunk everyday and went to sleep next to the boiler. Daddy said, that hog never grew another inch and finally died.Gay marriage
We’ve had considerable conversation on Facebook about gay marriage. I guess the way I feel about gay people is, if you are gay, you are gay, do what gay people do, but don’t flaunt it, it’s not necessarily something to be proud of and it doesn’t make them special as some seem to think. I suspect it will be a long time before homosexuality will be accepted by all as normal. Nature didn’t plan it that way.
There are an estimated 10 million species on earth and few, none that I can name, practice homosexuality. So I think that gay people should go merrily on there way, do what they do, and stay out of the faces of those who don’t share their preferance for love making. I for one am not dying to see two men kissing. Maybe it’s just .me.
